From concept to reality.

From the initial concept to providing your first article proof, we will be there when you need us. Your initial concept may be nothing more than a sketch on a napkin or a few words jotted down on the back of a receipt or even an idea still in your head but with your vision, we can make your concept a reality.

What should you do?

You can hold on to your idea and wait until the time is right, but what happens down the road if someone else beats you to it? First and foremost, we encourage you to act on your idea. At Custom Design Source, we strongly believe in the hard work and intellectual property of others and have an agreement in place to protect you and your ideas. You idea is safe with us - hands down. Once we have returned the signed documents to your attention, we are then ready to move forward. 

Here is the process.

After submitting YOUR idea, the first step would be defining your projects specific needs and your end goals. The process is somewhat simple. Picture taking your ideas and placing them on the wall.  We as a team evaluate your idea. While brainstorming, bad ideas will be eliminated and the good ideas will remain.This will help us both understand what features are most important to the end customer and how your product can "sell itself". You would most likely want to spend the most amount of time in this step. Besides defining your exact product, you can eliminate the cost of multiple redesigns down the road. It is important to take the time upfront to lay down a firm foundation. Without a firm foundation, the building is likely to fall...

Next, we would work with you on developing a conceptual model of your idea.

When the concept stage is complete, we would then move on to more of an in-depth layout and design stage. This step of the process would take the conceptual idea and mold it into a manufacturable / production ready state. 

With the tedious design steps out of the way, we would now provide you with a physical prototype of your product. Your prototype quantity could be a one off or a small run that you would use to either test or display. This is an important step of the entire process. This step is here for you to test the products fit, form, and function. This is where we note if any design improvements or modifications are needed. 

Working with our network of vendors if applicable, we would submit the price of the production tooling to you. This tooling would include and molds or special tooling required to manufacture your product on a large scale basis.

Now we are ready to start a large scale production run on your idea. 

With physical products in hand, now what? You need to market your product. To give more value added service to our clients, we also provide product branding and marketing services.
